..

They have a similar roof and window lines, and the over all size is similar. But that's nothing new, many of the 'old school' muscle cars of the 60's and 70's where very similar. Chrysler was known for being about 3-5 years behind GM and Ford in styling. If you look at a late 60's to early 70's chargers, the roof and window line is EXTREMELY similar to a 66-67 chevelle. Even the inset back window that was notorious on the chevy models.
You are trying to convince us that anyone who thinks a Chevy and a Chrysler are diff cars is an idiot. You sure you dont want to rethink your stance?
Well obviously I know they're not the same car, I'm just saying the styling is extremely redundant. The differences are extremely minor. The biggest one is that the camaro has a pointed front whereas the challenger has a flat one. And you know that the only reason they made the front like that is specifically for differentiating it from the challenger.

Also I hate this new bloated style that a lot of american cars have, so that factors in to my opinion.

um, have you seen a Camaro or Challenger in person?

They are both styled after their original counterparts. So why aren't you *****ing about a 69 camaro looking like a challenger. Or a charger looking like a mid 60's chevelle?
In person these two cars look very different. Much more so than simply a pointed nose. You clearly have not seen them in person. Come back when you have. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i went a seen one of these a couple days agao, was a LOT bigger than i thought it would be, it looks relatively small in pics, but that thing was a freakin' tank. the 3.6L v6 has like 305hp stock, it was silver, not really that great imo, not saying i wouldn't drive one, but id much rather have a 4th gen camaro, and make it run low 10's street legal camaro for 1/2 the price

Was it this one? My cousin sent me the pic as soon as he could. B!tch is bad! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

LOL. Do I really need to go to the dodge/chevy dealerships 3 minutes away and take pictures of the 30 challenger/camaros that are parked there? Don't worry, I've seen them in person.

And no, they're not very different. They're much more similar than they are different. If you're 200 feet away, you won't be able to tell between the two.

I have no doubt there are much more creative/original ways to style the new camaro so it's not a near-mirror image of the challenger.

And I'm not *****ing about their 1969 counterparts because this thread isn't about their 1969 counterparts. Hmmm.

I'm a Ford guy, but um neither the Camaro or Challenger will be around much longer. Again. So this argument will be a moot point. And guys, there is more to consider than just the V6 having 300hp; it is lacking on torque and makes its power higher up in the RPM range, not to mention the weight. I've heard the V6 in person. It sounds like a ******** engine. And the windows on the Camaro are TINY. Actually though, the interior is nicer in person than the pics suggest, but I agree the radio thing is killer. It is basically persuading my buddy to get a 2011 Mustang GT instead...
