You said 'I thought they built the ZR1 because the GTR was handing the Z06 its ***'. So in that one statement you condemn GM/corvette for having been beaten by a car that is beating everyone else too, and imply there was some petty reason too build the ZR1. Or are you suggesting you had some deeper meaning, which is not nearly so obvious?

That car is gonna be the one too buy, V6, watch when people start modding them or flashing the ECU.
300hp already stock, only 15 off the new Mustang GT.

Hennesey already has a SS SCed runnin low 11s.

They gonna have those V6s runnin mid 12s soon watch

Chevys v6 does make good power, which is close to the mustang gt, but it still gets stomped by the stang. Even the ss isnt much faster than the gt, but it does look pretty decent. On the outside atleast...

The new shelby is definately worth a look..

You are reading into this way too much! I am not condemning GM for anything, I was told that GM made the ZR1 to 1 up the competition (Nissan), if that's not the case then ok, my bad. I would love to have either car GTR, Z06 or the ZR1.

Yes, the ZR1 was designed to keep up with, or surpass, the Jones'. Just like any new sportscar design a company designs. Difference between models is some are designed to compete with others in their class, while the top level vettes are designed to compete with absolutely anything in the world. And GM's massive R&D division allows them to build a car for alot less $ than many of its smaller competitors like Lamborghini or even Ferrari.

Sorry if I read your statement too negatively, but when someone mentions 'handing them their ***' it tends to read as a negative statement. For the record, other than the styling, I really like the GTR. There are alot of nice quality, well rounded sports cars on the market these days.

No prob, I have loved the Skyline for quite some time now but the paddle shifter is lame IMHO. I rather have a clutch myself.
