LOL. Do I really need to go to the dodge/chevy dealerships 3 minutes away and take pictures of the 30 challenger/camaros that are parked there? Don't worry, I've seen them in person.
And no, they're not very different. They're much more similar than they are different. If you're 200 feet away, you won't be able to tell between the two.

I have no doubt there are much more creative/original ways to style the new camaro so it's not a near-mirror image of the challenger.

And I'm not *****ing about their 1969 counterparts because this thread isn't about their 1969 counterparts. Hmmm.
They are retro designs, each based on their late 60's counterpart. If you want to believe GM copied Chrysler, go right ahead. And you are certainly welcome to dislike them and think they look exactly the same from whatever distance you decide. I really dont care. The internet is full of wrong opinions, you are just hopping on the bandwagon.

Cheers.

yeah but it's styled after the sexiest car ever conceived by man!
I don't give a fuck what it's styled after. If I wanted a car that looked like a first gen camaro, I'd just buy a first gen camaro.

All this retro shit shows is that they aren't creative enough to come up with their own designs so they stole someone elses.

Because your creative car design is much better, right? And there's no other reason to go 'retro' and design a modern car styled after an extremely popular car of yesteryear than they simply ran out of ideas, right? Its not like the amazing buzz that's surrounded this design since it was first released to the public has anything to do with it. Nope. Like you said, they simply dont have anything new to think of. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

i went a seen one of these a couple days agao, was a LOT bigger than i thought it would be, it looks relatively small in pics, but that thing was a freakin' tank. the 3.6L v6 has like 305hp stock, it was silver, not really that great imo, not saying i wouldn't drive one, but id much rather have a 4th gen camaro, and make it run low 10's street legal camaro for 1/2 the price
yeah, then you can pick up some sexy redneck guys too.

I'm a Ford guy, but um neither the Camaro or Challenger will be around much longer. Again. So this argument will be a moot point. And guys, there is more to consider than just the V6 having 300hp; it is lacking on torque and makes its power higher up in the RPM range, not to mention the weight. I've heard the V6 in person. It sounds like a ******** engine. And the windows on the Camaro are TINY. Actually though, the interior is nicer in person than the pics suggest, but I agree the radio thing is killer. It is basically persuading my buddy to get a 2011 Mustang GT instead...
Source on Camaro and Challenger not being around for much longer? and why it matters?

Just read through reviews of the 2010 Camaro. The verdict is there in both, its beastly fast in a straight line but doesn't like to be hustled through the corners. Do American car companies think that people never ever evolve? Do Americans really obsess over the stoplight to stoplight race still? I'd take a car that can corner well and has 100hp over a 500hp car that has to slide around every curve because it can't hold a line.

that car would take anything you could throw at it on the street. unless you plan on taking it to a track every weekend i wouldn't really worry about it. i dont get why people always worry about shit like this. Do you plan on racing it on your way to work in the AM? that's how kids end up dead, and our insurance premiums for owning a car like this sky rocket. FYI the new Vette ZO6 put down faster lap times on a track than a Pagani Zonda, Ferrari F430, Mercedes SLR Mclaren, and many other European cars.

I never said anything about me creating car designs. They could have made just as much of a "buzz" if they would have came up with their own designs. The original is the one that is the real "headturner" Most people, if they saw both of them driving down the road, would pay way more attention to the original than the "New" version. If you really want a car that looks like an extremely popular car of yesteryear, than buy that car, not some new car that "looks" kinda the same. It's like a kit car, it looks like the original, but you're still a poser if you buy one.

Not to many people go drifting around corners when they go to get the groceries.

What are you talking about? Did I mention the Z06 at all? I know it's a fast car..

If nobody drives fast then why need 500hp? Why doesn't everyone drive a Prius? I love going to Angeles Crest Highway in LA or up to Snoqualmie up here. Curvy mountain roads for days.

Theres a black camaro in town.... There WAY BLOATED!!!!!!

I think the challengers look better and brings back the muscle era much better. And I have seen the inside of both, the Challenger looks like a new era 1960s look with all the options. The camara just isnt that great.

Challenger with a 6.1 Hemi is sick.

Camaro with a 6.2 just is blah....
