ive got the same exact problem lol, dad dont want me to tamper with current alternator, or current front battery and ive got light dimming, not sure the voltage.. mines dropping down into the mid 12s area though, so its bad

dropping to 13.4 shouldn't make them dim terribly.

x2. Considering what you have dropping only to 13.4 is good man. An 800 might not completely solve all of the dimming but it would definitely help. I have a batcap 2000 and my voltage doesn't go below 13.8.

Man you Batcap guys saying that dropping a full volt is OK, you should look into some better batteries. LOL

OP, you should never drop that much with proper electrical. Especially while you are driving and not at idle. Voltage drops of 1/2 volt are usually noticeable in headlight dimming. Since you are dropping a full volt, I would think it would be very annoying.

Like others have suggested, a Group 31 would be your best bet. Find the cheapest and buy it.
