..

There is another guy here named vandiar that has a Batcap 2000 running less amp than you are and he said the Batcap 2000 is not keeping up with his system. I would think you will need a much bigger battery than the Batcap 800. I would highly suggest a group 31 battery if you are stuck on just one battery upgrade.

The best solution would be to replace the stock battery with the biggest you can fit and add a matching unit to the trunk. Two Deka 9A78DT would be my choice for your system.

Ive ran the batcap 800's and now have the 2000's. Just adding 1 isnt going to completely cure the problem, your running close to 2kw rms which should cause more of a voltage drop than your getting now (13.4v lowest //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif) i would re-check the voltage at idle and what it drops to on low bass notes, 13.4v isnt low at all really. anyways, a strong primary battery plus the batcap 800 will be enough for you for now, so start looking to upgrade your main battery also.

Ive always had great luck with my batcaps, but ive never used them with a stock alt, so i cant really compare to your situation. i have used 2 batcap 800s and a Optima redtop running a SAZ1500 and SAX100.4 at full tilt and NEVER went below 14.3v driving down the road. about 12.8 at idle. this is with a 200amp alt.

I'd say, buy it, and start looking for a better primary battery also

BUT... every vehicle's electrical system is a little different, so different things may work better for different people. but most likely, you will need 2 good batteries and later on down the road a H/O alt

at idle my alt was putting out 14.75v, When the bass hit it dropped to 13.4v, I'm going to recheck the reading in a few. My alt is 105 or 125 amps I think, I have the big 3 done with multiple runs of 4AWG.
ok, yeah i read that but, 13.4v isnt bad at all, it shouldnt be that noticeable (dimming lights atleast). add the bc800 and see how you like it, you can always re-sell it

sometimes the best thing is trial and error

kk. I shouldn't say the dimming is really bad. but it still dims, people think I'm flashing my brights at them, even though it isn't horrible.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
shit if nothing else, go to walmart and buy a big *** everstart to put in your trunk. if you still get dimming, return that bish and get 2 big Group 31 batteries instead of the Batcap 800. atleast you'll know if a second battery will help.. though im not sure on Walmart's return policy on batteries... i know ive taken some shit back to walmart and got money back

my buddy added an everstart in his Buick in the trunk, he had a stock battery up front and stock alt, just 1 run of 2/0 to the trunk. kept his voltage above 12.5v when it was dipping down to 10v //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif. His car literally shut off going down the road before he added the everstart in the trunk
