35hz v 45hz

i got 1 15 L7. its in a roughly 3 ft cubic box wit a 35hz port. i want it louder. i got it on a 1500w crunch amp and am curious if building a new box would be worth the difference? 35hz v 45hz or mayb a lil lower like 42hz or somethin?

I'd say 4.5^3 @ 38hz should be good, also look into another amp that does a bit more power, those subs can take quiet a bit of power.

it will peak higher. and give you a higher peak spl. 3.5 at 40hz should be pretty good

ok now heres the thing. i need somethin within 33x16x16. its goin in the trunk of my 01 cavy and its the coupe. soo real small trunk lol. had to take the trunk lid off to put the box i got in there now. im pretty sure i should keep it sub n port forward too right? my back seat folds down

yeh i had a sealed wedge before and got a slightly bigger ported box now. HUGE difference lol

maybe you should try an aero ported box with those limited demensions if you dont have one allready

allso they say sub up port to the side works well in a trunk car unless you walled it

got a double slot port wit the sub in the middle right now. i'll go take a pic real quick. never tried aero before.

imo,aero's tend to turbo the bass,so to speak.lots of people like slots,from my experience,aero's are more effecient if done properly

if it was me,i would go with the sub completly on 1 side and do dual aero ports on the other,that alone would most likely give you more output.and raise tuning to 38-40.kicker subs like the high tunes lol
