$$3500 for car stereo

for a single 12 find a Critical Mass UL12 5000 ...that is one of the best 12's you can have and there are a few used ones on the forum for quite a bit less than the $2000 retail....a good efficient clean mono amp would be a TRU Technologies Hammer for the CM 12.....I think if you search you'll find one of those for sale also ...that would be an awesome sub stage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

all that comes out to less that $2000 for sub, amp, sound deadening, HO alternator, sufficient wiring. That gives you $1500 for front stage, rear fill, 4 channel amp, and HU. There are too many choices for speakers/HU combos that are amazing. I cant really suggest anything in particular. I'm sure someone could tell you a great speaker/amp/HU setup for $1500.

b-quiet ultimate is decent...very similar to raamatt. I personally prefer dynamat extreme or cascade. I have heard great things about second skin also.

what are you trying to achieve with this system first of all?
finally someone who asks a question before suggesting random equipment with no idea of the users wants.

I say you stick with the w7, great sub

Those kappa perfects dont sound bad with enough power, bridge that 300/4 and run your rears off the deck (unless they are 2 ohms which they probably are)

But yes you do need some sound deadening, i say go secondskin you have the budget so why not get the best

thank you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif all you will get is forum boners and people tryin to pawn stuff off on you if u dont specify what u are looking for. even then the boner will get you.

just an amzing sound system really. I love listening to music especially in my car and just love it loud, clean, clear, full of detail, and loads of bass if I want it. The reason I want Jl audio is because I know how good it is, and even though it is more expensive, it is easy to find and luckily money comes easy to me right now. (i know that sounds so bad and conceited, but its honestly how I feel, if I was on a cheaper budget or did not have the money I would not even consider jl) Also I know tons about products and equipment, but not a dang thing about install or set up. With that being said my car install guy used to work with JL eqipment all the time so he knows much of the setup and install to their amps and woofers. Probably stupid motives, but thats what they are.

also the serial number to alternator I think is HD220576 or there was another number above it, R40 048617G thanks for your help!

thanks for your input bro. I was thinking of getting two 300/2v2 for the fronts and rears. The thing is I love rear fill unlike most people, so I want my rears to be loud and clean. The 450/4 is 150 to front and 75 to back so I felt that would be uneven and the fronts would blow away the rears. withe 150 going to all 4 that is well more than enough. GOOD IDEA OR BAD???? I know its probably too much power, but I love having the option if I do decide to truly upgrade the front and rear speakers.

also if I do go the jl route with the 1000/1v2 and 2 300/v2 can my stock alt handle that with a really good battery and better ground wires??? My install guy says ya, or if anything he said a second batt??

thanks guys

there is nothing wrong with going with JL if u have the money for it and its what u wanna do. Yes there are cheaper alternatives but with JL u get what u pay for 99% of the time. the way the 1000/1 is designed just amazes me. i dont run JL but if thats what u want go with it man. its not a bad way to go just a little more pricey.
