i got 3500 bucks to spend on some car stereo equipment. Just thought I'd get some opinions from the experts. I need a killer head unit, sub amp, subwoofer(1 12"), box, mids and highs 4 channel amp, wiring, and prob a better battery. This is going in my 2008 accord. I already have Infinity 6 1/2 perfect components and Infinity Kappa 6 1/2 3 ways in the rear. I know I am going to get hated for this but I was thinking all JL audio. My install guy works for tweeter and is an expert at jl. I have heard jl systems which sound amazing. Was thinking 1 12W7, 1000/1v2, and 450/4v2, with the Eclipse cd 7200mkII. That with wires, battery, install, and a box is roughly in that 3500 price range. But I know you guys have better ideas........

People have been helping me. Time to give back

Subs DD audo 3512's Amp: Sundown 3000D or Atomic 7000.1

For a head unit if i had your cash i'd still buy an Alpine CDA9886

You WILL need sound dampening about $600 worth of Damp Pro and then a 5 gallon bucket of spectrum sludge should do nicely I think.

I'd replace your 6.5's with Rainbow or something nice like that though

how big is your alternator?

not sure how big my alt is??? Its a 2008 Accord EX Sedan...anyone know?? Thanks for your input. Although a 7000watt amp is gonna kill my alternator. Ill check the rainbows and how forgot I had included 500 in Dynamat Extreme too. Never heard of damp pro. will check out

thanks

I would go with mechman for your alternator. He should have a 250a alt available for your vehicle. He is doing a group buy on a another forum...pm and ill give you a link to the site.

yeah mechman would be awesome. I wish he could build me one but he's too busy lately //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

buy a HO alternator. mechman, ea, iraggi, etc. that will run you about $500 give or take. Then you need about 40 feet of 1/0 knuconcepts wire http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLMX0BL

also, purchase 2 of these batteries: http://cgi.ebay.com/Xstatic-Model-800-Stereo-Battery-14-lb-BatCap-New-2008_W0QQitemZ130183364442QQcmdZViewItem

use one to replace your factory battery and one as a secondary in your trunk.

next buy $100 feet of this sound deadening. its the cheapest, and works just as well as others: http://cgi.ebay.com/Ultimate-B-Quiet-100-sq-ft-w-Dynamat-roller_W0QQitemZ190241447953QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item190241447953&_trkparms=72%3A1072%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

why does he need 40 feet of wire?

I don't agree on the sound dampening.. B quiet had a bad reviews. i can't remember where but there's a review on sound dampening some where showing how they all stack up

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

I do not see a problem with an addition of up to a 600 RMS Class D mono amplifier with 4 ga OFC wiring supply kit and be fine. It would be...
