3400 w amp kit for 1000w system, will it work?

the fuse on the wire is to protect the wire. You certainly don't NEED a 250A fuse to run that amp. If you want to purchase a 100A or 125A fuse that would be fine, but you don't need to.

Using bigger wire than you need is never a bad thing - at worst it might be a little inconvenient because it's harder to hide and terminate.

BTW - to ease your guilt...That stinger amp kit is $130 shipped at sonicelectronix. If they were charging $300 for it in their store they're probably bending people over regularly anyway.

ok, well I have a 50A fuse from my old amp kit, I take it that will NOT work will it? I guess I dont have any option but to buy a new 100-125a fuse?

300$ Canadian, so probably 250 American, my problem is that if you ship electronics threw the us border to canada we get charged a HUGE Dudy/tax fee
