I tried it without speaker wire and it does the same thing. As soon as I turn the truck on, the power light comes on for 1-2 seconds and that it goes into protect.

did you try to unplug the speaker from the amp yet..

you try unplugging the rca;s only give it power and see if it doenst go into protect

I dont get how it worked fine and than it doesnt. I dont think my dad would lie about that so its got to be something going on. I am going to try and hook it up into my cousins car and see what happens

I tried the RCA thing and it went into protect with and without them connected. And yes I have a stock battery under the hood with an Exide Orbital in the back

You guys saw the video volts stayed up around 13.2 or so but stayed up high....

check battery/distro voltage? otherwise the only other times i'v ehad amps go into protect.. bad ground which you checked... overheat, which we know it isnt that.. or when it was putting out Direct current... and thats when i accidently touched 2 channels together and that amped neevr worked again =\
