Whelp, the stock stereo in the new truck SUCKS, and i cant wait until august for my new build, so a temporary setup will be going in.

Im budgeting myself $300-ish for speakers. So far, I'm thinking Image dynamics CTX components for the front doors ($180 shipped), and some CTX 5x7 coax's in the rears ($130 shipped).

The only other thing i could think of doing is going with a more nice front stage maybe, and putting something cheaper in the back for now. The stock location for the rear speakers is retarded (fires into the side of the backrest of the back seat).

opinions? I'm open to any reccomendations really. I've been using pioneer premier components for a while because they have really impressed me, but its time for something different.

go with a nicer front stage, no rear fill....
i need to do something for rear fill. The stock speakers sounds like they have a frequency response of 1k and up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

dont hook them up?
Rear fill is a pure waste of money, and takes away from your front stage when you dont have a substage. When you DO have a substage, can you hear the rear fill at all? No...
you make it sound like there is only one way to like how your music sounds. Personal preference from personal experience, i like to have some halfway decent rear fill.

No, Just stating a known fact. Your "rear fill" is so close to the substage that the sub freq collides with your "rear fill" and makes it sound bad. If you must however leave the Stock speakers in, or go to ebay and find some pioneer 3 ways for 20 dollars will sound about the same as your co-axils you are looking into.
