$300 components?

my girl has a 2005 camry. this car has stock crappy 6X9 mids in the front doors. i'm working with about 3"s depth. i need a component that will crank like hell and produce some good midbass. we both listen to metal. for power, i think the cadence 600.2(150X2 @4ohm 13.8 volt) is a good choice. she's on a $300 budget for the comps. thanx for anyone's input.

$300 can get you excellent quality on the web.

I use Polk MMC6500, about $170 online, and I think she'd be real happy with them. They're 125RMS. I have a 175RMS amp on them. But for $300 you could find something better. I haven't researched to know what.

Definitely get a 6.5 component set and use an adapter in the 6 x 9 spot.

i was looking at the pioneer 720PRS comps... i hear the midbass is excellent but the tweeters ****.

Kicker DS650 or the SS series. Beautiful comps, good mids highs nothing left to be desired. Heard them at a car show. Dude was playing rock and it was great. Alpine Type R comps are also great for the price. About a 175-250wrms is good to power either type. GL shopping and I hope you find something you both like.
