$30 Dollar amp from hell!!!! (Maybe NWS)

So I've been looking for an amp to power my TB 6.5's and i stumbled off a craigslist ad on a Boston Acoustic amp and sub for $80, and i ask him for the make and model of the amp and how much for the amp alone.

He replies its a GT-22 for $30, so i hurry and call him and pick this sucker right up.

This idiot got a spade connector stuck inside the remote and i had the hardest time takign it out. It looked like he already tried with pliers and stuff cause the jacket of the connector was eaten away.

I open up the amp to see if i can get around to it and theres a black shroud taht is stuck because of the connector so I take a flathead and push as hard as i can and i guess my other hand was right in front of it. (Yes, stupid of me). So i get the sucker out and i'm so dam happy cause i've been working at it for like 30 minutes. Anyways, i finally got it out and now its too late to even try it. The amp itself is in great condition and doesnt smell burnt so i'm hoping that it works so i can finally get some bump in my trunk.

that's an awesome deal if it works.

either way, blown amps can sometimes mean a 15 dollar replacement fet and a quick solder...

way to jump on that, and bust your finger...ouchy, i did that once too..

it would have hurt but i was too happy about getting that freakin spade connector off to care.

I would get some antiseptic on that and wrap it with some gauze.

I got a pretty bad infection and nice tetanus shot from a cut that involved sheet metal.

Off topic, how many chiclids do you have? I need to get my tank back up.

At least it was that far down on your finger. I've cut the tips off of a couple fingers before and those things throbbed like crazy. Felt really wierd to be able to feel every heartbeat on my fingertip. Plus it stung every time I touched something unless I wrapped it in enough gauze and medical tape to make the finger a useless club. Took about a month to grow back too.
