i dunno bout that. my friend has a k5 blazer w 44" super swamper boggers on it.i dont even know what they weigh. i can throw my friends around and i can hardly lift the tire/rim to mount it. we ended up using a floor jack. he can stop ok at best. todays brake technology is much better than a 79 blazer......however, it would look retarded and have no function though to have 30"rims. better have a big bank account to keep replacing bent rims too.

my truck stops alright. i have had much bigger cars (older though) before that didnt stop for shit. even with 35"s mine doesnt stop anywhere near close to what it could do stock. bottom end power was crushed cause the tires ****ed with the final drive ratio so much.

back O.T. I was reading an article that G.M. released stating they would not go to 20" wheels due to safety issues. It was about amonth ago, so the details are fuzzy, but they firmly stated their lab results to find 20+ rims to be unsafe and unpractical. Sorry the I didn't retain anymore info...

28 is about to be the biggest street legal rim out. THey are not fully dot approved yet. But I have a pic of and H2 on 29s. But the 29 are just solid rubber. The problem with the bigs wheels is no that no one makes them. It is waiting on a company to make the rubber. cut the tires have to bes tested and reserached.

I had a monte carlo come to the shop for a/an alarm and he had 23' rims and it took me all of 5 mins to get it in the bay, I had to move up , then put it in reverse, then move it up some more, then repeart the process 6 times just to get it around the 90 degree turn it had to do to get in the bay. he had stock drums and rotors on the car too
