ohhhh i get it. i forgot, personal opinions dont matter here. the only thing that matters is what everyone else agrees on. i told him what I prefered.bout 80% of it.

2 JL Audio 12W7's
The 13W7's were going to take up more space then I wanted to lose so the car has no spare so we are going to build them in that space (3.5 Cube space) plus raise the rest of the floor for the amps and relocate the factory battery as well as add another.

Just my personal opinion here on this subject. First of all...there are alot of people that say use a 2 way setup because it is easier to setup, tune, placement is easier but I really like a 3 way...well actually 4 way with a sub. It takes more time and isn't as easy to work with but the sound is unbelieveable. I don't understand why you say you don't like a sub with a 3 way setup. I mean...the midbass (unless you have like IDQ 8's) or something aren't going to be able to reproduce the sub frequencies. I have 8's in my kick panels and a 12" in my center console and the 8's have nothing on the 12". Now on the note of rear fill...I have no need for it. You say that your system doesn't sound "full" without it. If you have everything setup right you don't need rear fill.3-way systems are decent for imaging if your running active. I tend to stick with 2-way components. 3-ways sound nice if your substage is very low, very minimal... like maybe one 8" sealed. I'd prefer a 3-way component set if I wasnt going to run a subwoofer. If your going to run a substage, get a decent 2-way component system. As far as rearfill goes, everyone has theyre own opinion. I personally like having rearfill. It just doesnt sound "full" without it. But in a truck, especially a single cab, rearfill wouldnt really matter. You could then do a full 3-way set + a nice substage if your in a truck since all your components and coaxials are so close together. In cars, I think its best to have some sort of rearfill. just my 2cents
