3 subs....

hi guys. i was wondering, im gonna run 4 subs in a ported box, but currently i only have the 3. im waiting on the other i got off of ebay, but its taking a surprisingly long time, so im worried of the "rip-off". anyway, i will wire 2 of the DVC subs to one Jl 500.1 amp for a 4 ohm load BUT since i dont have the 4th yet , would there be any negative effect from running the 3rd sub off ANOTHER JL 500.1 amp i have that was originally for the 3rd and 4th subs ?? if ran a single sub, it will be wired to a 2 ohm load, being a DVC. of course i know that that sub will see more power than the other 2 subs. but is there any worries that i should look out for doing it like that? or am i okay? i still plan on using the 4 subs, BUT asking just in case! thx!

they are ALL 4 ohm DVC subs. i will put 2 on one amp at a final 4 ohm load (mono) on one JL amp,

and

the single 4 OHM DVC will be wired in parallel to a 2 ohm load on ANOTHER SAME JL AMP

will i have any problems?? all subs will share the same airspace. no seperate chambers. and they are going in a ported box with one large port. since the JL500.1 distributes the same power from 1.5-4 ohms. so i think im ok. but not sure.

If you're running three subs in a common chamber box meant for four, you're going to have a huge hole in the box where the 4th sub would be, no?
Don't do it.
no not exactly. i didnt start building yet. i have the plans and all for 4 subs, but i think ill have to make the volume and port a little smaller since im minus a sub. even with the right volume and port for 3 subs, i STILL have to rn 1 amp for 2 subs and the OTHER amp on only one sub. so i just want to make sure there are no problems doing it like that. the amps are identical also.

You should be fine. The JL Slash amps see anything from 1.5-4 ohms as 4 ohms and sends the exact wattage needed for the same level output regardless of wether is 2 or 4 ohms. Read up on it, it's called the "R.I.P.S." system. Also, contact JL support, they rock. They should give you some information on what the settings need to be with the specific setup you're looking to do. My suggestion, build a box to run two subs for now off one amp while the wait for the 4th sub comes to a close.
