3 subs sharing the same chamber

i wanan build a box for 2 10's and 1 12' in my truck but only can build the box to limited sizes. Givin the max measurements, i wanna see if the airspace is good enuf for the subs? Maybe someone can help me

The box dimensions i can use for a sealed slant enclosure for 3 subs are

Top depth: 3"

Bottom depth" 7.5 inches

lenth: 48"

Heigth: 17"

Slant heigth: 17.7"

The 12 is a Type R: Min airspace= .75 Rec= .97

And 2 bazooka EL 1004 : Min= .3 Rec= .6

I think share a 12 and 2 10's would not be a good idea.... maybe a 15 and two tens, or a 12 and two 8's .

but any anycase keep the enclosers seperate!.

And use the correct crossovers so that the subs are putting out the correct freq's. As if you don't I would gather they would all try to cover the same range of freq's.

maybe a bit like this.

8"-12"-8" or 10"-15"-10" & last but not least your idea. 10"-12"-10"

All you would have to do then is decide what way to face the subs.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Cheers.

well will it really sound that shitty? but can neone tell me if there is enuf space
After looking at your measurements again, I'd suggest you go with two awsome 12" Subs. JBL GTi Series or a couple of Eclipse Titainium subs. The 88000Ti range will see you right.. I have some 87121.4's Are they go really hard! Not the titanium range but still good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , and Eclipse go best in sealed enclosed boxes. so that means you use up less room //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I also would not recommend sharing the same airspace for three subs, if all u have enough room for is the 3 subs u should have enough room to throw some walls in there to divide the chambers, but its ur sh!t do what u please. Also What kind of car do u drive and why is ur airspace so limited?

Nevermind sharing space between the three subs, I wouldnt even recommend you use the threee subs in the same vehicle at all. Unless you are planning on doing some major testing and TONS of crossover work, that setup will work far from ideal. You would better off running the 10's only, or the 12" only.

my cousin has two 10's on either side of a 12' all running off the same amp at the same frequency, in a box he built with three separate chambers and it sounds awesome, so anybody who says otherwise without hearing it first is full of doodoo.

They prolly sound good cause there not sharin airspace and plus u prolly dont know the dif. between doodo and awesome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you are right, they sound good due to sep airspace. i have heard some doodoo in my time, and these sound better than that. my point is that 2-10's and a 12' can sound good, wheras some people just dismiss it as a retarded idea without any second thoughts. a better idea would be just ditch the 10's and get 3-12's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
