3 subs and final resistance?

I know that three dual 4 subs will give you either the 2 2/3 or 2/3 ohm resistance... my question is, with good enough electrical, can you safely run 2/3 ohm on a 1 ohm safe amp, like my AQ1200d? Wouldn't heat and imp rise bring it pretty close to 1 ohm?

hey what up

i am sporting 01 eclipse gt

running 3 re audio d2 12sxs in a sealed enclosure powered by a soundstream pca 2000d monoblock running parallel series

the 2000d is metered at 1ohm to be putting down 2143 rms i am about 1.64 ohm so around about pulling about 1500 rms to the 3. this year at the usaci sound off dbdrags here in Portland or i hit 155.1 db at 31 hertz

not to bad for stock alt and and bat

so to answer your q about ohm loads a good rule of thumb is to never drop below the lowest independence that an amp is stable at . most amps even good high end stuff these days say 1 ohm stable but after you push them hard at a low ohm like that for any length of time you'll have problems and running a .75 ohm load on a 1ohm stable amp probably wont last more than a 100 hours or so if that so your best bet is to run them parallel series at a 2.7 ohm load or by a 4 th re and do the same for a 2 ohm load

hope this help ya

155 dbs @ 31 hz with a sealed box? Wasn't on the Termlab, that's for sure.
