I think i read some of those tutorials....have something to do with DMM and some other stuff i would completly not understand...

Maybe i should go ask the guy at circuit city to check all my levels and settings ???? hopefully that doesnt cost too much???..cause evrything is installed now and working..i just dont want to blow another amp so im scared with all these gain & sensitivty levels????

Buddy.. If your amp is not playing notes, and it smoked, it is most likely done with. I wouldnt waste the time to take it to circuit city. If you can, find a friend with an amp or something, and borrow it, hook it up in your car and see if it works. If not, you have a wiring problem, not an amp prorblem.

Hell, if you want to, just got to Circuit City, or something, and buy a cheap amp. Test it in your car, and then return it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

well i took the amp that fried back and got a new 1... i installed new 1 (this time with negative battery terminal disconnected )

I turned my gain down to 0 and my sensitivity level to about 65%...

I then went into my HU eq and turned my highs & mids down to -1 each (im using bass blockers on my doors ) and turned my Lows to +3

:)everything sounds pretty good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) (the levels of doors vs. subs)

So hopefully by turning Db gain to 0 & Senstivity to just over half ....i might not blow the amp huh????

Well, that's good news! Yes, you should take all the advice here and keep the DB and sensitivty levels down to a reasonable level. You'll never really know what caused the amp to die. Could have been its time to go. Hopefully, it continues to work for you because there's nothing worse than an audio system that doesn't work properly.

yea i think i blew the first one by disconnecting & connecting the power wire with battery terminal connected

and it is definetly nice to have my sound back & not having to work on it (after the dispicable robbery of my last system )

Thanks everyone for your help...hopefully this amp will work for a good long time?..?
