what would hit harder, 3 cvx 12's at 1.3 ohms on a brz2400.1 vented box, or 4 cvx 12's sealed with 2 sets of 2 ohm loads on 2 zx1500.1's. going to be in my trailblazer

lol thats obvious, but would 3 ported or 4 sealed be louder, i like sealed for tighter bass, with the 2 amp setup i need to do a 2nd alternator and thats pricey

If the ported box is designed right, it will produce "tight" bass just as well as the sealed, with the right sub that is.

how are you getting A 1.3 ohm load btw? i'd suggest going for either 1,2 or 4

3 dual 2 ohm subs in series parralel, 12/9=1.3333, brz2400.1 rms 2400@1ohm, so should be close to 2250 @1.3 ohms, speakers are 750 rms or 2250 for 3 of them

and supposedly subs handle less ported, so amp power is should be perfect for the setup

I'm going to go with 3 ported here. Your going to get a lot more output any time you go ported. The only time I'd recommend going sealed is when you really are looking for sq and those people seem to be few and far between now-a-days.

Not sure if you can wire 4 subs down to 1 ohm but that would save you a good bit as well.

the 4 dual 2 ohm will wire to 1 ohm, but i was gonna do to pair wired to 2 ohm, and get the kicker 1500's which are two ohm stable, just seems harder to find a good 3000rms 1 ohm stable amp

also have alpine cda105 head unit, 6 1/2 type r components up front and 6 1/2 type r coaxials in back, if i do the brz 2400 will probably run highs on the matching zxi150.4
