3 fosgate HE2 10s for a bill?

For the price I paid I am pretty happy with my skars. I have no idea how they perform as they are still all sitting in boxes but much more impressive in person look to be solid. Sundown was my first choice but you get no deals from them which is cool cause I mean everyone pays the same but Skar cut me a deal I could not say no to.

Yeah they offered me 2 new SKAR 12's when they first came out for $300 new shipped I was like daaaamn. Then I got my 15" DC Level 3's with upgrades for practically the same price

Just saying these things are a bit under-rated and they sound pretty great (maybe it was the sealed boxes.) I'm not sure about the 10's as I've never ran them but about 4 1/2 years ago I got 2 of these brand spankin new in boxes for $120 from a stupid drug dealer i know that needed money if these 10's are in decent condition I would definatly get them not only that HX2's aren't rare these ARE VERY RARE and I believe they don't use the same soft parts the HE2's did honestly 200rms more isn't nothing to get wet over like most of you are and 3 of these 10's off 1k would probably slam in a ported box, then again if these are "10 years old." they might not be the same ones but the ones I had were 4 years ago and brand new HE2 12's .

Im actaully looking at the VVX-8s, since im on 1k disturbed hit me with some recommendations that would make 2 of their 8s run about 2cu. PLus a slightly smaller box will make up for my 1000wrms
Why are you buying a 2 channel Prime? Or are you running a memphis you're confusing first you say a Memphis1000 now you said you're paying $134 for a RFP600.2 please don't pay that much for a 2 channel to run subwoofers, get atleast an Audiopipe 1k or 1.5k for the same price. Also if you have the money SA-8s aren't bad but IMO a bit over-priced for what you're getting.

I didnt'r ead the part about those 10's being partially broken but if they're NOT blown then who cares about a few scuffs and a small tear that can be fixed with almost any glue/adhesive? For $100 I would buy those subwoofers in a heartbeat, then again it might be nastalgia of me owning 2 HE2 12's 4 years ago and slamming the block off 1k. I swear to god those things are severely under-rated and I don't even know how...

and you don't need a smaller box for 1k on 2 SA-8's if anything make the box a tiny bit bigger to get more output those SA-8's will take a solid 1k-1.2k daily I've seen 4 of them running off a Sundown SAZ2500. IF anything make a slightly bigger box for more output off that 1k.

Lol a RF prime? Dude a p6002 is a punch amp. Look at my sig, i already own that amp. And in my closet is a memphis PRD1000.1, the person buying my sub is buy my amp also. Well disturbed played with 2 SA8s and said .87 was to big per sub n he was on 1300.

another 135 is coming next week for my p6002
That statement was very misleading... a lot of people put amplifiers they wish to own in their sig before they get them, was hoping you weren't noobie enough to choose a Punch 600.2 over a Memphis 1k.

and sorry bruh I mixed up models, don't worry I won't help you anymore since you seem to know more than me. Disturbed is right .87 may be too big, but with my experience SA's like boxes somewhat bigger than spec.

way to get butthurt man, im not trying to be mean or scold you. I just found it funny, chill. And i was just stating that someone with a very similar woofer had told me some facts which i shared. I really dont know very much at all, especially about 8s

I'm not butthurt but it's 6AM and I'm helping people normally at this time because nobody is ever on think of me as technical support during the early mornings :p I'm just grumpy and reading and typing is becoming more effort then it was an hour ago. I'm just saying from experience with a few different size SA's that they like slightly larger boxes as do most subwoofers that can handle more than you can give them. Disturbed is a pretty reliable guy I'm not arguing he might be right I'm just saying my 2 cents. I'd just appreciate you not give me so much attitude when I'm tired :p also punch/prime really makes no diffferent both are over-priced for what they are... Junk.

My sa-8's did not like .8cf per driver they were much better at .6 each but I had a good 1300 or so to a pair.
Yeah like I said more power = more potential in a smaller box, most wouldn't think 300RMS is a big difference but it's when your subwoofers are rated @ 400rms each, also the fact that after rise that amplifier probably isn't doing 1krms so they're seeing even less power. But you could buy 1 sheet of MDF and build 2 boxes for said woofers so why not just go buy a full sheet build a smaller box/ bigger box and use the one that sounds best? I wish 15's were that easy takes like 2 sheets per box D:

Also Disturbated what do you mean they were much better? meaning a lot louder or just less sloppy?

at .6 I had much more control over the cone. .8cf was on the edge on bottoming them out. Both setups were loud for being what they were but at .8 I watched the volume knob alot more. But again this was in my car and my setup so every car will be different so I cant flat out say .8 is not the way to go it just was not the way to go in my setup.

Yeah those 8's are touchy as hell both ways... Box too small not enough output, box too big and they bottom out. But like I said 300RMS on these things is a big difference believe it or not. The person that was running 4 of these on 2500 was running I believe .5ft^3. I'd say it's safe to say you want to go down about .1cf per 150 watts you over power these things or so it seems i'd say about 1250 is the sweet spot for 2 of these on .5-.6 which makes me believe .7-.8 would be ideal for 1000rms. That's what makes me believe this anyways haha from testing and experience or i should say viewing experience since I've never owned one.

Anyways.............

HE's are junk, 100 seems like to much for them. Punch HX2's are nothing special, they're not a beast in any which way either. The Power hx2's and the trf's of that gen were the only ones worth getting.

HE2's were bottom of the line, Best buy's 2 for 99 bucks special sub.

Punch Hx2's were mediocre but I was never a fan of them.

This thread is so full of misinformation I don't know where to begin..

Firstly here's a list of the subs and their power handling..

Punch HE - 200rms

Punch HE2 - 400rms

Punch HX2 - 10"-12" 500rms 15"-18" 600rms

Power HX2 - 1000rms

Team RF - 2000+rms

The Punch HE2 were a very soils and underrated sub. I have ran a pair of the 12"s on 1500rms with no problems. OP $100 for three in a box is a very good deal. Just check the suspensions on them an make sure they aren't too saggy. Like someone stated earlier they are close to 10 years old. They would also be worth reconing if they fail. Great subs on a budget and will get plenty loud and sound good doing it.
