I'd say you cant go wrong either way IMO.

I run Sundown SA-8's in my car and i LOVE em. they're gettin about a cube each and only around 400rms ATM and flex my sunroof and everything.

I've also heard some JL 8w3s setup correctly and they sounded pretty good too. I think the JL's had slightly better SQ but not too noticeable.

Those Type R 8s mentioned up there look nice too. I was between those and the Sundowns

the sa8s are more of a spl woofer but dig really deep....
