3 8inch Subs

Im sorta set on getting 3 8inch subs.

Which of these do you think would be the best sub?

i'd say the RE 8's would be the best value going...$50 authorized, IIRC.

Any more opinions? How closely do they compare to each other? The JL takes a lot less power than the others, so when you add the amp in, it will be cheaper then one thinks orginally.

He's got 4 (you only need 3 of course) of the soundstream exact8's and he's trying to get rid of them... think they're priced at $89 each. Not as cheap as the RE's but chances are the extension is lower...

the RE8's only need about 70 watts to hit full potential, RMS is just the mathmatical RMS of the sub. all the calculations and all that make it out to be 175, the subs need nowhere near that but WILL HANDLE IT

idk tough choice. i mean ive seen a 12" W0 take a 600watt burp alone and there only rated for 250MAX....so tough choice. i bet there 8's can handel a good 2-300

Power handling will be dependant upon the enclosure.

L7 8?.........

L7's are pricy, thats the deal. They are a little less that an 8w7, and if I had that money, Id get the w7 instead of the W0.

I know its the thermal rating, but the mechanical RMS hits before that, but I asked that a while ago, and I didn't get a straight answer as to how much power they need for full excursion in a 0.217 sealed box, or in a 0.5 ported box. Wanna give me those numbers?

What amp I will be getting will depend on what subs I get, plain and simple. Its gonna be a good amp though. JL, Kicker or Alpine.
