Too many screws can be a very bad thing. You really don't want to get a screw anywhere within 6 or 7 inches from the edge of the wood. In the future, cut back on the screws and only use them to hold the wood together while the glue dries. Looks pretty good anyways. How is 30hz material with that though?

No predrill FTL. I have used screws in MDF all the time, and I always predrill them. never had a split yet.

Yea predrill those holes...wood won't crack.

Not that it would change the tuning much, but the box could have been designed to accommodate a flush front baffle

It's not hella louder but it did give it that extra output that i was lookin for. And I had enough wood for the front baffle i just didnt feel like trying to cut out a 3" x 14.5" rectangle out of the baffle.

It does sound nice tho with only 300w ;P

Use a bigger bit? How long are the screws you are using? Did you countersink the heads? I use 1-1/4" sheetrock screws from home depot. Excellent stuff.
