3 12w6s dividing em up

Hey I got 3 12w6s (old ones/v1?) in my 95 civic hatch. Obviously not enough room behind the seats with the box I got. Gonna give my friend 1 along with my KAC9103D. Would this be enough? The amp is about 500rms @ 4 Ohm and the speaker would be wired 3 Ohm. Would rise be an issue in this case? Maybe hopefully not. I know I'm about 200 watts over so maybe it's ok? Just need to figure out a box.....

Then I wanna build a box for the remaining 2 and get either an AQ1200 or 2200. That sound good? Was thinking the 2200 for future upgrades. Or maybe a 1200 now and link another together in the future if need be. This all sound okay? Any advice on enclosures would be Great. Would like to try a ported for the single one.

So I got about 5 Cubes to play with. I can't get my 3 jls lined up like I want so I was thinkin subs UP in my civic hatch. Got 14" max height so if I faced em up arrainged in like a triangle order would that be a problem if I was able to chanmber them off? They're getting pretty old lol. Maybe sag to bad I don't know.

Sounds like a decent idea because putting the wood in there to chamber would be bracing it a bit also.

Well, I wouldn't port those woofers. They do better sealed. I used to have 2 of them in a dodge daytona hatchback and they absolutely slammed I wouldn't run them off of the audioque 1200d or the 2200, that's too much amp for them and you might blow them. I would get this amp for the 3. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4224. Those subs should slam in ur ride.

Yeah my cousin had them in a ford probe and it was rediculous. That's good to know though haven't bought an amp yet. Just hard to figure out which way to put em in the trunk. The box I got now probably isn't the best. Thanks for the response!!! Thanks for the link

You'd likely gain a bit of SPL and low-end by porting the w6's, but I wouldn't. Those are some nice SQ woofers and it would be sad to use them in a way that would diminish their potential. However, your friend might favor a louder enclosure, so ported might be a good option - it will still sound wicked. Hit me up if you need a custom box design. Post the build log, and I'll do it for free!

Awesome. Yeah well your not missing much here now. Although we been short on the rain so far it seems but it did snow yesterday.....Where the heck is SUMMER??

I'd gladly pay for a design. Been playing around on different box programs or web pages and just get to a point where I don't know what I'm lookin at anymore. The measurements come out weird. I just ended up giving my friend my kac-9103 for her subs that she BOUGHT so I'm gonna go ahead and keep them.

Spent most of school today doing cisco router simulations and sneakin in some box plans lol. I get lost on here every night searchin around.

I think what sss was trying to say is just post a build log and he'll design your box for free. I recommend mike465 to build the box for you. He is building my box and I'm very pleased with his work.

Yeah I know just trying to get my numbers and stuff together. Trying to figure out how to express the angle I got and what dimensions I can actually fit in the back of the car. I had measurements ready to respond back with but couldn't find them when I responded originally..... Then I lost my wallet. Hopefully it's at school.

won't find out until tuesday. So anyways, Can't really do anything about an amp now since I received a AQ2200d in the mail the other day lol. Overkill I know but it's all I have. Was a gift so to speak. Didn't know it was coming to be honest. Pretty cool surprise. Dunno how the w6s feel about surprises that big. Gonna have to turn that thing DOWN.
