I love my 10s but I heard my friends sealed 12s and they hit the lows alot better even for sealed. I would go with the single 18.
Sealed is USUALLY gonna do better with the lows, depending on where your box is tuned to, and the cone area is a good bit greater in your example. 2 10s vs 2 12s, as opposed to 3 10s vs 1 18. I may go with 4 10s though, but probably not a definite yet.I love my 10s but I heard my friends sealed 12s and they hit the lows alot better even for sealed. I would go with the single 18.
My bad I meant a single 12 vs my 2 10sSealed is USUALLY gonna do better with the lows, depending on where your box is tuned to, and the cone area is a good bit greater in your example. 2 10s vs 2 12s, as opposed to 3 10s vs 1 18. I may go with 4 10s though, but probably not a definite yet.
The sealed box is still gonna hit the lows a little better from my experience. I put 3 low budget 10s in my car the other day (kicker comps) and they actually sound decent for what they are, and are a little loud. I think that some higher grade subs would give me more effect, but I'm still not sure that it would be able to overtake a single 18 or 15. I would have the option to upgrade to more 10s or better quality 10s in the future, as opposed to the 18 or 15, where I would be stuck with it, with no room for more subsMy bad I meant a single 12 vs my 2 10s
My box is tuned to 33hz and my car peaks at ~44hz
You drive a small car though. If I had a Honda, I'd go that route no questions. Why would you go with the 10s over the 18? You're actually gaining cone area with your setup, but I'd be losing it, about 50sqin.i dont know im getting rid of my 12 for four 10's...do the three 10's
