3.0 35 hz 500/1000 wts. sub advice

i have several subs/boxes that i listen to some for sq and some for spl. i set them in the back of an extended cab f150 and let them do their magic. my current amp is an os rockford bd power 1000 it puts out every bit of 500 rms into 4 ohm and 1000 rms into 2 ohm.

i recently acquired a large vented box 3.0 cubes gross tuned to 35 hz and put my rockford t1 d412 in it.alas it did nt sound very good with the exception of some rap music. so i put the t1 12 back in its factory spec ported box which sounds very nice.

i need advice on a sub that would "get down" in 3.0 35 hz box with 500/1000 watts and still sound good. budget is free to 400 ish bucks

does any one have experience with a 12 in a larger box? would like to find a sub to go with the 3.0 box @35 hz

I have one. That would love that box but could take much more power than 1000 rms. just remember the larger the box the less power to the sub so that you don't work the suspension to hard

thanks mylows10 ....could you tell me the sub your talking about? yes i ve learned over the years that bigger boxes need less wattage my amp collection now for subs starts at 1000 2 ohm 500 2 ohm 500 4 ohm 360 4 ohm and 250 4 ohm i d love to find a sub to go in that 3.0 box for a high output setup that still sounds good. my rockford t1 d412 sounded much better in the factory spec ed 1.75 net @32 hz with 1000 watts. in the 3.0 35 hz it only sounded good on certain rap and country bass it does get loud but sounds bad on my fav. rock and roll. so back in the factory box for it . any help on a 12 sub that works well in a large port would be appreciated. if neccessary i could get a bigger amp

My dd 3512 like a 2.75 box so a 3.0 would be good as well I have a 4" coiled neo that would be nice in 2.5-3.0 as well

Could also look into soundqubed hds3, or hdc 3. I know the hdcs like a bigger box, not sure about the hds line though.

what about a memphis m5 on 500 watts or a kicker cvx on 1000 watts? i can get either of these for a good price point

Or re-baffle it for a pair of 10s, a pair of SA E10s perhaps
