2xFI BL fully loaded 5000rms ?????

well as the title states i have 2 FI BLs fully loade ofcouse in the biggest box i could get into the car about 5sh cubes and tuned to around 35-40hz

I have one of our own custom D class amps and its a 5000rms i need to use this amp as i will upgrade the subs when our new ones arrive from the US (they are 2500wrms each will be using 2 x 12")

will they work ???

the FIs with the 5000wrms amp (and its a real 5000wrms) or will they fry

as i dont want to blow the FIs if I run the gains real low will it work

ohhh and they are D2 vcs aswell

any thoughts on this dilemia

x2 on that. Your gains should be set VERY low, and always verify with a DMM.

i say it will take 5k all day my 10 took 3 k pretty well......id say yup 2500 each is perfect for them to really open up...

i had 4000-4500 on my 2 bl 12's fully loaded.

As long as your careful anything is possible... Just gotta watch your gains and pay attention to what the subs are doing.

Run it at a higher ohm.

Wire them in series, depending on how you do it you can get 2500 rms, so about 1250 per sub.

first is this for daily or burps? itll handle it for burps for sure. and daily i wouldnt put more then 2000 per sub

thanks peeps well it is for daily till my new subs arrive but i do a fair bit of comp stuff but on music only i

its just i need the 5k amp for the new ones and i dont want to run 2x2000wrms as that is the other option

i figured 1 x 5000wrms and keep the gains REAL low watch that i keep the subsonic just right and loverly

but if i have to ill put in 2 x 2000wrms and run 1 sub per amp they should get around 1900ish per sub i dont know if the 2000wrms is rated right and havent tested it yet

but the 5000 is definatly 5000 and will do 7500wrms but thats at 18v and im running at a healthy 14,4 and 12.6 at full burps went as low as 11,8 but thats when the last subs went poof

hence the rebuild

the subs are duel 2 do you reckon wire them for 2ohm load or risk a .5 ohm

or go 1ohm with 2x2000amps
