2x1000W RMS Bridged Amp for $121 shipped?!?

I am getting 2, 1000W RMS 2 Ohm DVC subs. I saw this Lanzar amp on sale at ebay:

It says it'll put out "1 x 2000W MAX at 4 OHMS Bridged 2 x 800W at 2 OHMS RMS". Does this mean I am able to hook up both of my subs to it and get 800Wx2 RMS?

Is this for real? The eBay listing shows this amped costs $121, shipped. Is this too good to be true?

It lists it as NIB, with good seller rating.

There's a reason that so many things are easy to find on the internet ~ including owner's/installation manuals for various aftermarket car audio gear.

The manual (available in .pdf format here) for the Vibe266 2-channel amp by Lanzar lists the RMS wattage output to be as follows:

150w X 2 @ 4 Ohms

230w X 2 @ 2 Ohms

On no given day will you get 1,600w out of that amp.

Period.

Ever.

Additionally if you've bought (or are going to buy) a pair of DVC 2 Ohm subs they cannot be wired to a 2 Ohm final load per single driver.

Both subs together can be wired to a 2 Ohm nominal load but each one alone cannot. Either 1 Ohm or 4 Ohms are your options for each sub by itself.

It's lanzar...down there with pyle and some of the other bad names like legacy too (at least that's my opinion on the other 2)

Amps like that are usually crappy because of their noise ratio

whether or not the watts listed were under stress conditions or quick "lets put it at this wattage till it burns" tests

And $120 for 400-500w of power is an ok deal.

I'm one to stick up for Lanzar quite a bit, but they should be embarassed releasing sales numbers as bad as those.

They deserve most of the criticism they get.
