they get loud but dont sound good plain and simple and homie you would need an amp that does max power at .5 ohm or 2 ohm they both won't wire to 1 ohm just like that pa amp its all a good deal but at 2 ohm its rated at 1800rms and its a pa amp so it wont do close to that prob. around 1500rms.

2 of those would have a 1 ohm load bro.......

man for $500 you can get some nice subs...dont have to stick with PA...look around on ebay before you put your money down

L7's are pretty much standard SPL subs. Get a 15" L7 and some 1000w x1 amp

Does any one have any experience with these newer mofo's?

Do you think 2 dvc 1 ohm subs will survive on an orion 2500 at 1 ohm?

I wouldnt touch them personally.

ive heard there loud, ive also heard the sq sounds like me farting (loud and stinky) personally i almost bought a pair but then i heard how bad the sq was. my orion setup that i have right now, almost compares to my freinds 2 type R's. go for some orion h2's. no dought u will hit like 150dbs if ur box is right. they sound good as well, not to mention they are like 600dollars subs onsale every where right now for like 220 a peice because there is a new series comeing out. trust me if ur disappointed i will give u 500dollars (not really but it sounded good right lol). if not orion. RE, kicker,DD, etc. theres probably like a million other brands that u will get more bang for ur buck than power acoustik mofo's. just my .02 cents

thanks for all the input... im looking for some SQL not so much SPL but more on

the SQ side so i guess these MOFO's are a NO-NO. Glad i got your opinions

before i spent the money... as for other subs the L7's just don't excite me any

more, I'd be more than happy to try out the RE's but i'd probably go with the

x's and spend money i don't have... I haven't been to impressed with alpine's

new HU's lately so i'm not really leaning towards them. As for the soundsplinters

...I'm looking at them right now.. might make a decision tonight

the MOFO's are avaiable in DVC 1 ohm ( 1 + 1 = .5); (.5 + .5 = 1)
