4^3 boxes tuned at 38htz - no idea mabye 180-200?

ill be honest i havn't added any of that up, and ill just let it be a plan/ dream lol

but yeah thats kinda what im looking into. and if there is any flow left then its going to a mid/highs amp.

thanks every

feel free to bash. but be gentle this is the first setup i personally put together.

doesnt sound too bad really... the only thing i would go with differently would be the amp.. i havent seen anyone use them or really looked into them but i do know its just the lower end of maxxonics... so it cant be terrible but i would spend a little extra and get somthing like an autotek mean machine 3000 or 4000... probably pick one up for 500 - 700... little more expensive but you would be able to tell the difference.. i use to run " high powerd amps" that were reall cheap but said they had 5000 watts and thought they were good till i got a real amp.. the difference was amazing.. absolutly no distortion and the bass was completely clear.

The GP3000D is a great amp.

yeah i was thinkin about that, but its just finding a good place to start lol

Realistically id love it if i could be bangin before summer time. but i can't work as much as id like (need) because of class and then havin to pay rent all the other goodies of life. so im just going to be a ********** on the side lol

but it'll be alot of bits and pieces, the finished product prob won't all be there for a while.

so thats why i decided to go in that order. and maybe ill just do it 1 sub at a time.

btw, does anyone have any "user" specs to go with the subs?

any personal experience on how hard i could push 1 and enclosure size, tuning. anything?

thanks

kyle

yeah thats the other thing, id definitely be up for getting a much better amp. i mean im like anyone, id rather keep it in the lower $ range, but id def go anywhere from 5 to 7 or 8 hundred on something ill love for a long long time.

which is the other thing with this setup. all of it ill be able to sell (obviously) or put into another car. which is what ive been keeping in the back of my mind.

my truck is 9 years old so its kinda hit or miss when it dies... nay if lol if...

thats what turned me on about that amp..

This setup is specifically daily driver.. i want to be rediculously loud, but im not doing comps or anything. i just want something real solid, and durable. but will bang and turn some heads. and with the potential to upgrade to bigger and better things as i learn more and more about car audio and how to build better setups.

what do you mean by take all the watts?

each sub is technically suppose to 1k watts. but ive heard and read that ppl put 2k on a sub. id rather not step on the "burn-up-ur-sub" line so i was thinkin 1500 wrms per sub would push them but not kill them.

and im possibly interested in raising the voltage and giving it 16v. just a thought.

But you said you might buy 1 at first..I'd buy a sub that could handle that 3k to tie me over..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
