3 CVR's and 1 btl

A guy I know has 3 15" CVR's ported off of 2000w and its louder than my single 15" BTL off of 2500w. I can't have him be louder than me. Would 2 1000w 15"s ported get with his CVR's? We both have the same size SUV by the way.

Also - before anything, try a larger box. And by "Loud" I assume you mean audible - but with a simple box change you could *probably* shake shit as much possibly more than him.

so, you expect to be louder than 3 15's by using 1 15. good luck. does he actually have those in 15 cubes? cvr's perform well in 5 cubes per sub.

Something to remember.

Shitty subs are shitty subs. But a lot of shitty subs are still loud...(generally haha)

The CVR isnt a bad sub, especially for a budget...you just need to up to an 18 or add more powa

Buy two 18" SX's or similar and then give the guy a call

No I dont expect to be louder with one 15. I dont have enough money to buy another amp and an alternator for a 2nd BTL. I do have enough money for 2 different subs and a box. My question is whether or not it would be worth it to switch out the single BTL for say 2 15" BL or something similar? Or would my current setup be better. I ask this because I had 2 DC Level 4 12's that I thought would be louder than the single 15 but they were not. He has them in 3 cubes each.

If you can go to two nice spl-oriented 1k drivers, then yes. Just keep your cone area up there.

As suggested, you have an SUV. Make two 18" SX's ported work.
