.25ohm daily?

I have an incriminator audio ia40.1 going to have a dc power 370 xp alt with 2 Xs power 3400's up front and 2 or 3 deka g31's in the rear this is with 2 positive and 2 negative runs. Should there be a problem doing this? Any cons?

You definitely have enough electrical for it, and that amp is stout, so I would say yes. However, the idea of running anything below .5 for a daily is a no for me. I'd much rather strap a pair of amps at 1 ohm (so each amp is at .5...so for you you could strap a pair of 20.1's)

i personally wouldn't do anything below .5 for daily. lower for burps yeah

Yea I might just run it at 1ohm until I can find a 2nd one and then strap them at .5 each.........I feel so risky wiring it to .25 although it should still rise a decent amount

If it was a burp setup where it would only be running at .25 for a matter of seconds, then sure go for it. But for something that's a daily, no way. Personally, half of the fun of having a system is a peace of mind. I couldn't really enjoy my setup if I was constantly worried about my amp smoking because of wiring it so low. But to each their own

The point of running an amp at .25 ohm for burps isn't that the short duration is safe, it's that you can measure actual impedence and make sure the amp never sees below whatever point is safe. OP, my suggestion would be to run 1 ohm for daily, the real world gain probably won't be worth the hassle of best case scenario going into protect constantly, or worst case scenario a 400$+ repair and being out your amp for half the summer.

I've done .33 nominal daily with no problems, I also couldn't give a **** if I blow my equipment either though.
