i would get a hifinonics bx1000d. it produces 1000watts rms and it should be fine with a stock alternator. you can find it cheap on ebay for $215.

ur gona have problems with that alternator, it would be ideal to port that sub. give it a hifonics or a JBL 1200.1

Any of those amps would seriously get that sub wangin hard!!! Especially in a good enclosure! Enclosure is the key with the L7's! With the introduction of the Square Solo you can through the "Small box sub" Gimmick out the window as the square solos have definately proven to to do better in large ported boxes! Anywho.....the amps listed will get taht bad mammajamma movin!!

so u guys would definitely go w/ the 1000d over the 1500d. the solobaric could definitely handle the 1500 but could the alt? u guys think the alt will take the 1000 watts pretty easy or no?

My stock 120amp alt handles my 1500D with NO problems at all!!! So depending on your alt size on your vehicle it may be fine!

i'm not exactly sure though what my 94 cavalier has for an alternator in it. i'll look it up real quick and see what i have for luck. but for some reason i want to say its 105 amps. ne idea?
