250 watts @ 2 ohms ... what woofer/woofers?

Alright, I tryed a search but came up with few results and those results I got seemed outdated....

I've got a little directed 250d that puts out 250@2 ohms...

I'm wanting to probably get one dual 4 woofer and give it 250, but then I got to thinking about 2 4ohm woofers at 125 each. My roommate has two JL 10w0s on 125 a piece and they seem to really do the trick. I don't even know what vehicle this setup will go in as I really won't have a use for it, so I figure a friend will entually buy it but I am just trying to have fun with a little bit of power.

I wanted to go with one maw 10, but after shipping it really isn't a cheap woofer anymore. That being said, I am trying to keep the woofer/woofers cheap.

If I go with one woofer I want to spend about 50 bucks shipped. If I go with two woofers, I would want to spend around 80 bucks shipped. Is there anyway to fit this criteria??

Which ever way I go it/they will be in a ported box to try and get maximum spl out of it/them.

So any opinions?? w3? two 8s? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

1 re8, re10, or re12 in a ported enclosure.

I gave 1 of mine 300 at 2ohm. Handled it well. Pending what dealer you go to you could pick them up for around your price. I can still get re8s from my dealer for 60ish

2 brand new pioneer TS-W251R each one handle 120rms... perfect for what you need.

I installed one of these but it was a 12 like a week ago... sounded nice and got decently loud.

i think they are 175 rms, i had mine running 400 watts each and they sounded pretty good

forgot the TC is a single 4ohm

I had one running off of 80rms for a while and it sounded good. Then I had it running off 300rms and it sounded better

By sounds better I mean louder. I am not really an sq guy. Or wasn't when I was running them
