$250 for COMPS: What's the best?

i simply have an issue with people recommending sets when they've never heard them before...regardless of whatever else the brand carries. alpine type-x is decent....type-s is shittty. case in point.
Yeah, I see your point. Manny's said on a thread in the Speakers section that the new Rainbow comps are very similar in comparison to the SLC 265 models of old....and I know for a fact that anyone that likes decent midbass with a solid, detailed, and accurate tweeter sound would love the SLC's/SLC Kicks set should look into the new 2007/08 replacement/upgrade set.

if you are looking for a deal i have some boston pro 6.5's that im trying to get rid of....cheap for what i payed back in the gap....they can handle 400watts daily and stuff like that....just throwing it out there

exige the thing is when you have a consensus from multiple people on here who have been here for years i don't see how you can have a problem with that. once sum gets his speakers and then listens to them he'll be like the 40th person "qualified" who recommends them, there's no reason to look the way in the case of a pair of speakers that is getting high marks among a discriminating crowd, right?
