JL VR650-CSi's (only one's i've heard in person)

I had MB Quarts and didn't care much for them

I will do a review when I get them installed which probably wont be till late next week if even that early because I am redoing my entire car pretty much and I need to wait for deadning and stuff to come in. But I will get a review up as soon as i can.

I have these and they can be found for the 250$ shipped elsewhere. I really can't see them beat in SQ for the price. If you are looking for in your face type of sound or SPL don't buy them.

Yep, Boston Pro60's if you're looking for really LOUD and clear....if you're looking for decent SQ, but not so loud(but with more midbass), I'd go with the PRS 720's.

Same here, I refuse to buy anything that doesn't have a SILK tweeter.

Man, if you prefer silk tweets, I'd PM either Don, Manny, or Aaron on this board(Rainbow Dealers), and ask them if they could hook you up with a new set of the newly released Rainbow SLC comps....I believe they can be had for right around $250 shipped. They look awesome.

Nope, but I've owned SLC Kicks, CMX's, Profi Vanadium phase plugs, Profi Kicks(paper cones), and now run CMX Kicks active, so I trust input from 3.5max6spd and other Rainbow dealers on how the newer line sounds.

I love my CMX Kicks, but they've got a metal tweet, so I'd never recommend them to ls2.

i simply have an issue with people recommending sets when they've never heard them before...regardless of whatever else the brand carries. alpine type-x is decent....type-s is shittty. case in point.
