24" MTX Jackhammer?!

hell the round one hits 153.1 on the TL thats pretty impressive. even if its not good for much that volume out of a single MTX of all company's is impressive. granted its the same effective piston area as 2 12's still. less excursion so... its pretty good for what it is! I wonder how the audiobahn 34 inch sub would sound against this one?
your an idiot

Why did this worthless thread get resurrected?? The Jackhammer isn't a bad woofer by any means, but for the BNIB price MUCH better can be bought and can get much louder.

Heard the round jackhammer off an AB VFL500.1 and it definately was loud. Remember the owner said it did a 152.? @ the dash somewhere in the 45hz ish range.

Wouldn't doubt those numbers were actually put up either, was a loud setup and didn't sound bad either. But its like 360lbs of woofer, costs $5k+, is almost impossible to keep below the window line, and is super power hungry. The setup w/ it i heard, the owner said it bought it used for $1500, which is still crazy but isn't too bad.

its equivalent to the same cone area as 4 12" woofers or 9 8" woofers...

either way people are such tards.. they have nothing better to do then to

bash a product.. pathetic I tell ya.

the item is not meant to be the be all end all of woofers.. its a statement piece .

just leave it at that..

and for those idiots that say its the same as 3 8" or 2 12" you're MORONS...

But 8+8+8=24:confused:

I think the new one is something like 95dB @ 1 watt... that's actually really good for a subwoofer that has as much xmax as it has.....of course when you notice the 400 pound weight of the driver it pretty much renders it useless next to a pair of 18's.

the cost is irreverent at this point, it has no performance advantage based on the weight alone... its just to impractical for any application even it was really cheep! If it was under 100 pounds i think it would actually be a lot better design. For the money they ask, they have no reason not to use neodymium. the parts cost of that driver are not in excess of 300 dollars, they could have afforded some better materials like neo.
