Also, what 12" sub whould you guys suggest he get. About 400rms @ 2ohms.

I was thinking a Maw-12 even though it's rms is 350 and kicker amps are underrated. Whould that be good?

I would but I'm not sure he'll go through with the price. I mean around here, south of buffalo everyone goes to kustom workz or daryls car audio or worse bestbuy/circuit city and see they have boxes for 30 bucks and say they can just go there to get a box. So then I explain to them the importance of the enclosure but I always hear sh** "like ill give you 50 bucks" or "how hard can it be to build a box, i'll do it myself."

Try partsexpress for decent, cheap pre-fabs. They actually use 3/4" mdf instead of 1/2" mdf or osb like some other prefabs. From what I've heard, they're built pretty well. Hard to beat for the price I'd say.
