I just clicked, and checked these out over on ssa.com. Wasn't on but for a few seconds, and got into a chat with ole @denim himself, I really like that kind of customer service. When ever I just want to try something different than my current set-up, I will be taking a hard look at ssa, for sure.

3" copper coil, yes conservatively rated.

Do they still use USA voice coil/steel ? I was told they aren't made in Vegas anymore (Fi was going to focus on there brand only).

Not made in Vegas anymore. Proven build house, the F8L's track record shows they are solid. Copper coils.

They will fit, but no idea how well they will work as totally different motor design, so I do not suggest it.
