2013 CRV EXL: speaker question.

I added a subwoofer and amp to the stock system. Overall sound is decent and much improved. I am wondering if I should replace the speakers (any suggestions)? Should I include an amp with the speakers? I am trying to get away with spending too much money and that is why my 1st choice is to know if just changing to better speakers will work.

Thanks.

Based on some quick research, the EX-L comes with a premium sound system with 7 speakers and an amplifier. This means you probably won't be satisfied with simply replacing the speakers. If it was the basic 6-speaker system that probably would be easier. The reason I'm saying it's going to be more complicated for you is because the amplifier is most likely designed for those specific speakers. If you change the speakers the amplifier may not operate correctly, or the sound will be off because it's equalized for different speakers. If you have navigation it might route the guidance voice a certain way, such as to a center dash speaker only. I don't have that vehicle around here to check out for myself.
