2010 Volkswagen jetta speaker help

i am new to doing car audio installs and i really like doing them i was looking at speakers and i got speakers of a depth of three but the actual depth of it is an inch or inch and a half i was wondering if i could get depth extenders or anything to prop up the speakers because the factory speaker was propped up and i was also wondering if i could stack depth extenders
