Not hating as I am huge IA fan, but this more a question I am not sure of as I don't build subs or know what they cost to build..

I know you want to make something for everyone and I know why there is good reason to have that option. But why is there a need for 1ohm dual, 2ohm dual, 4ohm dual and is a 1ohm sub better then a 4 ohm as it would have more wire correct? I have 4 IA DP 18's dual 1ohm I bought online is there to make it 1ohm or can I only get 0.5 or 2ohm can't think of any other way to do it unless I run 2 or 4 of them right?

Now this is an AMP SUB question, why or what tells a amp to send more power just because the ohms are lower and do the ohms change over time, being used more at comps? I saw a chat somewhere that as you send a sub more power the ohms goes UP so does that mean the amp sends less power at that hertz going up?

Also if your box is ported how does that affect a sub like my DP's are to be ported like 32 to 35 if I remember right. Now I have had a port ported to 40 dead on, now it played 35 to 70 load and very hard at 40 dead on. But why can it not play 20 or 25 as loud as 50 or 55. It seems to not move as much out side of the sweet spot..

**** no single 4 or dual 2, i was thinkin 4 10's on my bxi2k in my truck, but 2ohms won't give me potential and i doubt my amp will take .5 ohms

Never have owned an IA product before, not a total n00b at car audio, experienced with sound quality woofers, and have at least two or three other CA.com members in their immediate area to come and listen in on the testing.

^ Uh i fit the bill, check out my review in the sub/speaker section, did everything with photos of the install, videos, and i only owned 1 IA product, but I would sure love to try the 187's
