Guys,

I plan later on this year getting a 2008/2009 Civic Sedan... and was looking to get a H.O Alt... Does anybody here own this year civic/have a H.O in it? WHere did you buy it...

If not... where are the best places to get one? I heard about Mean green and Hoalternators.com?

ANy more? Thanks!

Kris

Edit:

I plan to do a really loud setup(If I do go this route) and compete...eventually. Im starting to brainstorm the elctrical before any products etc.

prolly not gonna happen unless you know a guy who rebuilds (ie can custom wind) your current alternator.

i went to a local alt\starter shop in virginia and asked them if they could get me a HO for my VW gti and they said they only carry domestic stuff, wich im sure 70% of the shops carry only domestic. and then i asked them if they could custom wind an alt and they had no idea what they were talking about.

so finding a civic HO alt is not going to be easy or cheap. you are looking to spend at least 300+ on an alt for that car.

best bet is to email mean green or dom iraggi.

I have an 07 civic.. I had to get mine from EA or Iraggi.. chose EA and got it for $375 shipped

Not the best, but it works.

The better companies have not come up with the design for our cars yet, so they haven't been made. (HO, Meangreen ect.)

And for our car visit

WHen you say "not the best"... are you happy with your purchase? I was expecting to send anywhere from $200-$400 on this H.O Alternator(in the future)...and I really dont want to make a purchase that I regret. You also said you chose EA....What was irragi's price?

I think Irragi was $425 + ship but I believe he raised his price.

I have the Big 3 done and the EA 200 amp alt. Only down fall is that it drops to 12.8 in idle (Just barely stepping on the gas raises it back up to normal).... I believe raising the idle a little bit will fix this issue.
