2006 Lexus IS250

LOL, thanks. The unit I have has been sitting around for a while. This will be my first time using it. I have heard good results with one in another vehicle. I might have to remind myself to have more patience. If I don't have luck with the auto-tune, I might have to do my best with manual tune
any tips or warnings?
The auto-eq does a decent job up front but the bass output usually ends up being almost inaudible. I ended up turning the bass down alot to get it to where the auto-eq returned some acceptable bass output.

Say I started with the bass gain low. run the auto-eq, then boost the gain up a bit after the auto-eq is done? I'd think some EQing would need to be done to the bass around the xover point to re-integrate the sub and midbass.

exactly the auto-eq has an internal gain control that will increase if you drop the amplifier gain before the auto-eq...during the auto-eq it should take care of eqing the sub and midbass for integration...keyword being should though

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten any further with this install. I finally bought the sub and have it in possession. If i'm not lazy, I'll work on getting the baffle done for the subbox.

Then I'll have to figure out the placement for the H650 and find out the lengths I'll need for DIY RCAs.

I picked up some Peerless HDS Nomex 6.5" for **** cheap, so I shall use them for this setup.

I did some measuring to make sure they'll fit. It'll be a tight fit.

A spare door panel was purchased for some experimentation. I really like how they designed the grill to be removable.

If Toyota designed the window to be about 1" higher...

I will most likely do some cutting to the plastic grill and wrap it in speaker cloth.

Change in plans: Helix S801 out, Illusion Audio tweet in. The Helix tweets did not fit the tweeter pods how I would want them to. They fit, but cannot be aimed.

The Illusion Audio tweets are from their old ND8i component sets. Not too much info on them. All that's provided from their website is: 1" low Fs

Hypertex dome. Their passives crossovers have a crossover point of 3khz, so I'll start there and see how it does.

The tweet dressed up:

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
