2006 Ford F-150

I just bought a 2006 F-150 supercrew FX4. I want to keep the factory 6disk head deck. But I'm wanting to add a 2 amps, new door speakers and maybe a JL stealth box(maybe). I would prefer to use 6.5 door speakers. Is this possible in this truck? Have (1) set of 6.5 boston pro's from my last truck I can use. Any suggestions?

I'd go to the dealership first, make sure it dosent void any warranties.

If it dont, pull out your stock ones, if they are the same size and the mounting depth is reasonable, I dont see why they would not work, you might need to drill new mounting holes though, be careful with this. good luck man, keep us updated on this. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I sat in one of those new trucks and by far one of the nicest trucks around.

Are you leasing this truck?

If so then you have to be careful about where you put stuff. Like cant drill holes, cant do this, that, plus have to put it back to oem when you turn it in.

If you bought it, do what you will to it, unless it is eng, body, stuff like that.

You will need a custom template no matter what you do (unless you want 5x7s) but others have and I plan to put 6.9 " round speakers in the factory location. 6.9 takes some cutting but you have lots of depth to work with behind that grill.

6.5"'ers should be no problem. Check out f-150online.com for tons of info on your truck and on installing aftermarket audio in it.
