2006 Dodge Mega Cab Build

Did you really have someone install that for ya? (John Kuthe, lol)
Also, is there gonna be an amp rack?
Lol, unfortunately yeah. It was way back in the day when I didn't know **** about doing installs and didn't think I could do it myself. Never again will I pay somebody else to do an install in one of my vehicles.

No amp rack as of yet as the truck is going to start being my daily driver again so I'd rather the amps be out of sight.

If your open to suggestions, my amps are sorta hidden/out of sight also. I made an amp rack under the rear seat from scrap wood I had. So, with the seats down, they don't interfere with the amps at all. They're bolted to the rack.

I may do that down the line. For now I just have HDPE boards (cutting boards) glued to the body underneath the carpet and the amps mounted to the boards with screws.

Holy hell. Got everything wired up today installed the new batteries and man...these ID 6x9s are thumpers. Big time mid bass. My sub was disappearing already in a good way. The SD3s are some really solid subs that finished off the bottom end nicely. Primus really came alive in my truck. This was just off of the crossovers on the amps too. Can't wait to really get this thing dialed in.

The spaghetti of wiring while I did testing before I clean it up for the final install...

Ferrules man...never again will I do a build without them. Trying to jam these eight gauge speaker wires into the Ti2 2k amp was a mother. My simple solution...ferrules...

8 AWG Ferrules

Stripped 8 Gauge Knu speaker wire

Threw the ferrules on

They slid right into the terminals and I clamped the set screws down on them

This is what they look like after

I'm going to use colored heat shrink as another layer of protection and to help see the difference between power and ground easily.

Well, it was fun but after a few weeks of being broken in the SD3s are coming out...

They'll be getting replaced by these bad boys in a TLine...
