short story, i originally bought this sub off ebay and when i got it found out it had "vince" wrote in sharpie on the motor. kinda disappointed but not a big deal.

i then sold it to a guy i know who proceded to blow it like a dumbass and let the bare sub sit around in his trunk for 3 months. i then bought the motor back off of him. i knew the condition it was in but was just wondering if there was anything i could do to get the small rust spots off of it and maybe a tip on how to remove the "vince" logo from it.

here are some pics, its hard to show the rust but you probably know what i am talking about.

000 or 0000 steel wool should take away the rust in the pole vent, you could also use the 0000 steel wool w/ a non-abrasive chrome polish to shine up the top/bottom plate.
agreed, i have had a lot of success using steel wool and wd40 to remove light surface rust. If its pitted than this method will clean it up and make it look better but wont do much about the pitting.
