well, this is the first day of the log, obviously the pics are just of the truck, and what to do, what to do.

i'm in college, i dont have loads of money, thinking 800 bucks for the woofer/amp/headunit.... and whatever else for the rest, i have alot of stuff laying around from previous installs

i want to keep this CLEAN and wall-esque, but not a wall really, but woofers facing forward, below window line.

has anyone ever used acendant audio woofers? i see they're cheap, maybe 3 10's or 4 8's? something to write home about, but i dont kow if they're any good or not.

thinking RE 8's would be cool too, i loved my xxx15 back in the day, but i dont have the mounting depth for it. nor do i want to, this is my roadtripping vehicle.

so here's the picture of the space available, i took out the rear seat (if thats what you want to call it) already

open to suggestions on amplifiers, no cash right now, so dont make this a sell-to-me thread, unless you want trades, in which ihave some car audio stuff (mostly accessories) and computer stuff (loads)

with a budget of 800 your not going to be able to get real loud, but go with some re re's 10" ported, those things get really loud actaully, and then u will need something that around 250rms for the 2 10's. i would say maybe a dei 350d, or something like that, i am a big fan of the alpine decks, you can get a good deck new for 139 or so. and that should pretty much do it, that is my suggestions on a 800 budget

i'm buying online.. maybe i should put that.

i spent 1300 last time and got 4 premier spl 3004's, and two of thier amps that go with it, and a fleamarket head

all that for 144db, that was in the eclipse, fiberglassed, and that really dropped the value of the car when i traded it in (with no equipment, obviously)

re10's go for like 130-140? x2 =280 + 149 for head =350, is that amp 450 dollars, am i miss understanding something?

edit: i just read what i wrote, i didn't mean to sound like a douchebag, but i think i misunderstood you

i didnt know if u were going local for an amp or anything, maybe in my head it added up to be more...lol...i have some 3004spl's. well i was trying to though you some idea's..or you could go with the re se series and a 1200 watt amp, that should fit the budget alittle closer

make shuire you get the correct wireing harness for your truck, an updated GMRCO2 i belive or you will run in to chime problems.

are the 10 inch version as respectable, have you ever used/seen them in person?

i'm thinking DEI or orion for amps this time, something a little less expensive than those SPL series premier amps, and less tempermental i hope too

also, turns out i have compoents and a headunit, removing them from the eclipse, the guy said the trade in value wouldn't change if i took out the radio, so they wont notice the speakers either i'm sure : )

yeah i saw that on the colorado forums, gonna have to throw one of those in there too : / i'm sure i can do it without it, but, eh, i like my chimes

probably the same as the sunfire you can use the previous year harness, but lose the chimes.

florida water period is the best to drink. just dont drink mississippi tap, i think its from mexico.

honestly, i'm kind of a different person from most people i think, and well, when i was in mexico, i said forget the bullshit, i'm drinking the water, and it was really good, tasted like a glacier, but 110 degrees, and burnt my mouth going down, but it stayed down.

mexican water is not poisoned is really the lesson to be learned here.

and i'm sure alabama water is bad because the gulf of mexico is there, which is like 3 hours frm here, so i'm told.

I live in nort ala, so my water comes from a lake, its drinkable
