Hey guys. I have a 2004 subaru wrx impreza wagon. Currently loaded with an alpine deck, 4 channel alpine mrp-f300 amp (4 channel), 5 1/4" Alpine type r components in the front, and Polk Audio 4" 2 way speakers in the rear.
I am looking to hook the rear 4" speakers to the head unit (because they do not require that much power), and bridge two channels for a small subwoofer at 150 watts RMS.
Two questions:
Anyone know of any SMALL subwoofers that I could hook up that would be out of sight, like under the seat, or somewhere else hidden? I am not looking for a lot of deep bass here, just something to give me a little low end sound. I know subaru has an OEM sub that goes under the seat, but unless I am mislead, i am pretty sure this can only be wired to the OEM head unit.
And two, how exactly do i go about wiring the rear speakers to my head unit instead of to the amp? I think after that's done, wiring the sub will be the easy part.
Thanks! Please let me know if you need any more information, as I would be happy to provide it!
